The purpose of A Thinker's Haven monthly discussion group is to examine and discuss a broad array of contemporary issues representing the various interests of group members. The subject areas that we will draw our questions from are those of philosophy, science and culture.
We view our open-ended discussions as means to enrich our awareness of new ideas, perspectives and information. Our purpose is to develop a deeper understanding and greater appreciation of the diversity of fact and opinion concerning the times we live in and the workings of our worlds.
We will be focusing discussions each month by reading several pre-selected articles or viewing a short, easily-accessed video. The monthly selection will be made available to all participants in advance so as to enable them to explore topics in greater depth.
We are committed to making this an informative and enjoyable learning experience. Interested participants will have the opportunity to propose a subject or issue of special concern to them.
The meeting room for this free moderated event is provided by the Seminole Public Library.

"A great many people think they are thinking when they are merely rearranging their prejudices".
William James
"The spirit of Dialogue is one of free play, a sort of collective dance of the mind that, nevertheless, has immense power and reveals coherent purpose. Once begun it becomes continuing adventure that can open the way to significant and creative change".
Peter Garret
